Small Business Advisory Services (SBAS) Program—Natural Disaster Assistance Funding

The objective of the SBAS program is to maximize the growth potential, prosperity and sustainability of small businesses through enhanced access to information and advice on issues important to sustaining and/or growing small business. This program aims to improve the business skills of small business operators and owners.
Small businesses can access a range of advisory services, such as but not limited to:
- Business and marketing planning
- Mentoring
- Leasing guidance
- Legal and accounting
- Loans and banking advice

Under the SBAS-NDA funding the Rockhampton Enterprise Centre will provide one-on-one mentoring and workshops to small businesses affected by disasters since October 2010, including not only those affected ‘directly’ but also those affected ‘indirectly’.
The RECI will provide services to:
- Obtain specialized professional advice
- Receive business information
- Attend workshops—such as: building resilience
- Access mentoring
Referral to:
- Legal advice
- Accounting assistance
- Book-keeping services
for NO COST to rebuild resilience across all industry sectors to strengthen and expand business capacity.
